Crystal Wu
Crystal Wu is a Melbourne-based artist working between Melbourne and Shanghai. Her mixed media practice is driven by an intuitive process of layering, erasure and material experimentation. Through abstraction, she explores the tension between spontaneity and restraint, creating works that are both expressive and contemplative. Her works have been exhibited in Australia and internationally.

Built through successive layers of paint and spontaneous mark-making, this work explores movement, encounter and transformation. Circular forms suggest relationships that continuously evolve rather than remain fixed. It reflects the unseen threads that connect different lives, cultures and memories, encouraging contemplation of shared human experiences.
