Artwork Statement
My practice investigates transformation and the tension between beginnings and endings. I am interested in how moments of change — often uncertain and unresolved — shape the way we experience both time and space.
Beginning of the End is an installation that reflects on this transitional state. Rather than presenting a fixed conclusion, the work exists within a threshold, where forms suggest both emergence and collapse. Materials are arranged to create a spatial experience that viewers move through, encountering shifts in scale, structure, and perception.
In a contemporary context where change is constant and often accelerated, I approach installation as a way to make these processes tangible. The work creates a space where instability is not hidden, but made visible and experienced.
Within Distributed Worlds, this installation considers how lives and environments are continuously reconfigured. It invites viewers to reflect on how endings and beginnings are not separate, but deeply interconnected states within an ongoing process of transformation.

Yujun Deng is an emerging artist working across installation and spatial practice. Her work explores transformation, temporality, and the relationship between material form and conceptual meaning, often engaging with themes of transition and instability.
