The Opening III
Acrylic paint, canvas, paper, toner paint, 110 × 66 × 3 cm, 2025
Artwork Statement
My practice explores how sound, emotion, and bodily perception can be translated into visual form. I am particularly interested in moments when sensation moves through the body—when sound is no longer simply heard, but felt, and eventually seen.
This work emerges from an attempt to visualise these experiences. Rhythmic pulses, shifting densities, and energetic flows are expressed through layered lines, pigment, and contrasting textures. Painting becomes a process of translation, where internal perception is transformed into a visible structure.
Rather than representing a fixed image, the work reflects the instability of perception—moving between clarity and chaos, between the intangible and the material. Within Distributed Worlds, it considers how sensory experience is dispersed across the body and environment, and how these invisible forces can be reassembled through visual language.
