No Love Labours
Charcoal and pen on paper, 30m x 1m, 2026
Artwork Statement
The 30 metre paper-based scroll is an installation that transcribes the burderned silence within the familial relationships of an immigrant household. The work embodies tumultuous emotions that are harbored within memories of a childhood home, and the psychological weight of supressed silence. The installation depicts the home as a cerebral, often volatile state expressed through a diasporic lens of immigrant trauma and displacement.
