Artwork Statement
A blue ring box holds two treasured places: a childhood home and the city of Melbourne. Replacing a traditional ring, these miniature landscapes symbolise origins and a life built elsewhere. Connected by a shared sky, the work reflects on migration, memory, and belonging, suggesting that home is not left behind when a new one is found. Instead, both places coexist, linked by affection, experience, and the comforting knowledge that they remain under the same sky.
